“Terminus” from Rockford, Illinois natives Dead/Awake catches you in the jaw and refuses to let go. This Deathcore quintet brings me back to what Deathcore used to be about. Constant blasting, great vocals, and intricate guitar play make “Terminus” an absolute delight to listen to, and with every play of the song you notice just a bit more.
The pig squeals toward the end got me moving in a way I haven’t in a long time with these old man knees. The video for “Terminus” fits the lyrics perfectly and sets up a visual and audio sensation when you are watching. The cacophony of sound is something any fan of Deathcore would love.
I give “Terminus” by Dead/Awake a 9 out of 10.
